Low Cost Spay/Neuter Programs

Shelter Funded Low Income Vouchers

Qualifying low-income families in Warren County can receive assistance to have their pets spayed and/or neutered. Families must provide proof of income and can obtain their voucher at the Warren County Animal Ark, 142 Rafters Lane, Warrenton, NC 27589. The voucher will cover the pet’s surgery, rabies and distemper vaccination and pain medication. Once a voucher is obtained, pet owners should call Warrenton Animal Clinic to schedule their pet’s surgery appointment. All voucher surgeries must pay a $10 deposit at the time of scheduling that will be applied as a credit to your account.

Fix Your Pit

Residents can obtain a spay or neuter voucher for pitbull breeds from the Warren County Animal Ark, 142 Rafters Lane, Warrenton, NC 27589. The voucher will cover the pet’s surgery, rabies and distemper vaccination and a 24 hour pain medication injection. The voucher will not cover additional costs incurred (in-heat charges, pregnant charges, antibiotics, etc.).

Trap and Release Feral Cats (TNR)

Residents can obtain a $100 spay voucher or a $50 neuter voucher for feral cats from the Warren County Animal Ark, 142 Rafters Lane, Warrenton, NC 27589. The voucher will cover a portion of the pet’s surgery, a rabies vaccination, an ear notch (required) and Ear Mite treatment. The voucher will not cover additional costs incurred (in-heat charges, pregnant charges, antibiotics, etc.).

Adopted Pet Vouchers

Pets adopted from the Warren County Animal Ark will receive a voucher. Voucher amounts are as follows:

  • $150 for Canine Spay
  • $100 for Canine Neuter
  • $100 for Feline Spay
  • $50 for Feline Neuter

The voucher will cover a portion of the pet’s surgery, a rabies vaccine, and a 24 hour pain medication injection. The voucher will not cover additional costs incurred (in-heat charges, pregnant charges, antibiotics, etc.).
